We are thrilled to share the highlights of the recent consortium meeting of the ARRAKIHS mission, which took place in the picturesque city of Lund, Sweden, from January 17th to 19th. This gathering marked our second consortium meeting, bringing together all ARRAKIHS members to exchange insights and advancements in our mission.
Led by Rafael Guzmán and Santiago Serrano, ARRAKIHS Mission and Instrument leads, the meeting started with an insightful update on the progress of our mission. Followed by updates on the specific tasks done in the different work packages.
One of the notable aspects of this meeting was the presence of esteemed ESA officers who attended in person. Among them were Kate Isaac, Thibaut Bonhomme, Marco Siriano, and Carlos Vandamme, whose expertise and support have been invaluable to our mission’s success.
We had intense and very productive discussions and deliberations, we were fortunate to have the opportunity to explore the charm of Lund. The serene beauty of the city provided a refreshing backdrop for informal discussions and networking opportunities, being able to know each other more.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our gracious hosts, Oscar Agetz and Santi Roca Fabrega, whose meticulous arrangements made us feel right at home throughout our stay. Their warm hospitality and attention to detail ensured that our focus remained solely on the mission at hand.
As we depart from Lund, we carry with us a productive collaboration and meaningful connections forged during our time together. We look forward to building upon the momentum gained from this meeting as we continue our journey towards achieving the objectives of the ARRAKIHS mission.
Stay tuned for further updates on our progress, and thank you to all ARRAKIHS members, ESA officers, and our hosts for their unwavering dedication and support.
